APFA Sub-Junior Boys Championship brings young footballers together at Mylavaram
MYLAVARAM | August 12–14, 2026
Young players take centre stage
MYLAVARAM: Young footballers from across Andhra Pradesh took part in the APFA Sub-Junior Boys District Championship 2026, conducted at Mylavaram from August 12 to 14, 2026.
The championship was organised with the involvement of the Andhra Pradesh Football Association (APFA), NTR District Football Association and Krishna District Football Association, providing young players with an opportunity to compete at district level.
Krishna District Football Association’s role
The Krishna District Football Association (KDFA) has been actively involved in developing football at the grassroots level. Its activities include organising and supporting competitions for younger age groups and providing players with opportunities to gain competitive experience.
The association’s recent updates also show preparations and player-related announcements connected with APFA competitions.
Focus on grassroots development
Sub-junior competitions are important for identifying talented young footballers at an early stage. Players get the opportunity to represent their districts, compete against players from other regions and gain experience in organised football.
The Mylavaram championship was therefore significant for the Krishna–NTR region, particularly because it gave young footballers a local platform to compete.
